As we begin the summer break, I want to formally introduce myself as your new PTSA President and express how eager I am to get started in preparing for the upcoming school year. The MAFI PTSA Executive Committee and I are well underway in planning for the upcoming school year and hope to have additional information to present to you by mid-July.
Recently, I sent out an engagement survey to all of our MAFI PTSA members and posted the survey on the MAFI Community Facebook page to gather your feedback and to identify our PTSA opportunities of improvement. Please know that I am personally reading every response and plan to include a host of your ideas into our summer planning sessions.
This year our PTSA goal is to not only increase our membership, but also increase the participation and volunteerism in our programs, events, and initiatives. In addition, we have a host of issues that we as an engaged community need to address. Whether it is the condition of the school bathrooms, the school window replacement/HVAC project, bullying/student discipline issues, improving PARCC and STAMP test scores, or the lack of the technological support our students desperately need, your continued participation and support will be our greatest ally in resolving these issues to enhance the educational experience of our scholars.
